The Sumerian Origin of Epic of Creation

In antiquity the temples were the seat of the s scientific knowledge and the priests were the savants.

This was so because when civilization began the gods who were worshiped were no others that the Anunnaki/Nephilim whom were the source of knowledge alias science on Earth.

The merging of state and religion and science was nowhere more complete that in Babylon. There the original Sumerian epic if creation was translated and revised is that Marduk the Babylonian national God was assigned a celestial counterpart by naming Nibiru, “Marduk” in the Babylonian version of the creation story.

The Babylonians usurped for Marduk the attributes of the supreme God of heaven and earth.

Thus, version the most intact one is known as “Enuma Elish” meaning “When in the heights” It was the most hallowed religious political scientific document if the land it was read as a central part of the new year celebration and played re-enacted the tale in passion plays to bring its import home to the masses.

The clay tablets on which they were written were prize possession of temples and royal libraries on antiquity.

The decipherable of the writing on the clay tablets discovered in the ruins of ancient Mesopotamia more that a century ago led to the realization that texts existed that related to biblical creation tale Millennia before the Old testament was compiled.

Especially important were texts found in the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal in Nineveh. They recorded a tale of creation that matches in some parts words for words the tale of genesis.

George Smith of the British museum pieced together the broken tablets that held the creation text and published in 1876 “The Chaldean Genesis” tale written in old Babylonian dialect that preceded the biblical text by at least thousand years.

Excavations between 1902 -1914 uncovered tablets with the Assyrian version of creation epic in which the name of Ashur the Assyrian National God was substituted for that of the Babylonian Marduk.

Subsequent discoveries established not only the extent of copying and translation in antiquity of this epic text but also the unmistakable Sumerian origin.

Ancient Advanced Cosmology of Summer, Enuma Elish, The Epic of Creation

Long before pharaohs and the pyramid texts an ancient civilization man first known one possessed an advanced cosmology.

Six thousands years ago in ancient Summer what astronomers discovered in 1990 was already known. Not only the true nature and composition of the solar system including the farthest out planets but also the notion that there are other solar systems in the universe that their stars or suns can colapse or explode, that their planets can be thrown off course that life can be carried from one solar system to another.

Detailed cosmology was spelled out in writing.

One long text written on 7 tablets has reached us in its later Babylonian version.

It is named Epic of Creation or Enuma elish.

Outlining the process by which our solar system came into being the long text described how the Sun (Apsu) and its messanger Mercury (Mummu) were first joined by an older planet called Tiamat. How a pair of planets Venus and Mars (Lahamu and Lahmu) then classes betwèen the Sun and Tiamat, followed by two pairs between beyond Than at Jupiter and Saturn (Kosher and Anshar). and Uranus and Neptune (Anu and Nudimmud). Thr later two being planets being unknown to astronomers until 1781 and 1846 yet known and described by the Summerians millennia earlier.

Into that unstable solar system according to the Epic of Creation there appeared an invader from outer space another planet a planet not born in the family of Apsu but one that belonged to another star family and that was trust to wander in space.

Millennia before modern astronomy learned about pulsars and collapsing stars the Sumerian cosmology had already envisioned other planetary systems and collapsing or exploding stars that threw off their planets.

And so Enuma Elish related one such cast off planet reaching the outskirts of our Solar system began to be drawn into the mist.

The more the invader was drawn into the solar system center the more was forced into a collision course with Tiamat. Tiamat was split in two. One half was smashed into bits and pieces to become the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and various comets the other half wounded but intact was thrust into a new orbit to become the planet Earth (Ki in Summerian). Shunted with it was largest satellite to become Earth’s moon.

The invader itself was caught into a permanent orbit around the Sun to become the solar system twelfth member Sun moon and 10 planets. The Summerians called it Movie I the planet if the crossing.  The Babylonians named it Marduk in honor of their national God.

It was during the celestial battle that seed of life brought by Nibiru from elsewhere was passed to Earth.

The Enûma Eliš (Akkadian Cuneiform: 𒂊𒉡𒈠𒂊𒇺, also spelled “Enuma Elish”), is the Babyloniancreation myth (named after its opening words). It was recovered by Austen Henry Layard in 1849 (in fragmentary form) in the ruined Library of Ashurbanipal at Nineveh (Mosul, Iraq), and published by George Smith in 1876. The Enûma Eliš has about a thousand lines and is recorded in Old Babylonian on seven clay tablets, each holding between 115 and 170 lines of Sumero-Akkadian cuneiform script. Most of Tablet V has never been recovered until 1950 in an Turkish site named Sultantepe.

The tablets are at Britis Museum in London.
